Scope:
- The Editor role at Blue Yonder involves meticulously reviewing a variety of training materials, such as eLearning modules, classroom sessions, and video content, to ensure they meet the necessary quality and business standards.
- These materials focus on product details, functionality, technical information, and processes.
- The editor will refine the language in courses developed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructional Designers (ID) to align with Blue Yonder's style guidelines.
- The ideal candidate for this position is a quick learner who is adaptable, capable of working independently without direct supervision and demonstrates maturity, self-motivation, and accountability.
- This position requires excellent communication skills, experience working with global teams, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Technical Environment:
- Language Reviewer, QA Content Editor, Content Editor
What you’ll do:
- Edit content for clarity, adhering to global English standards and Blue Yonder's style guidelines.
- Ensure all training content rigorously meets the established quality benchmarks and business directives.
- Ensure project/business standards are maintained across multiple deliverables, ensuring consistency.
- Document issues for each deliverable in a standard format for easy feedback tracking and performance improvement.
- Proactively enhance content quality, reducing errors through training sessions and facilitating the use of self-review checklists.
- Participate in process documentation and improvement
- Responsible for editing and re-writing the training documents created by IDs and SMEs
- Rewrite content to utilize a maximum of reusability
- Ensure content consistency/quality regarding the guidelines and proofreading the training documents for spelling, grammatical errors, and punctuation
- Track and report language-related issues for the ID team
- Perform Quality Control checks and tabulating feedback
- Share tips and best practices with the IDs to train them for language standards
- Participate in the recruitment process by developing test papers /reviewing test papers when applicable
What we are looking for:
- An experienced professional with 3 - 6 years of experience in reviewing technical content.
- Excellent command of the English language and grammar.
- Strong reviewing skills in language, grammar, standards, and content flow.
- Good knowledge of technical writing standards (MSTP, Chicago manual style).
- Thorough understanding of the editing process (especially for the technical content)
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of Instructional Design principles is an added advantage.
- Extensive experience working with global teams and independently handling expectations.
- Ability to work productively in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment
