The People Research team is a part of The Walt Disney Company People Insights department. We focus on data insights that drive and inform long-term HR strategy. We aim to deliver high quality consultation, products and services for people analytics. We also deeply understand the sentiment of our employees, leaders and candidates. All of this, along with external research of industry trends, allow us to enable data driven people decisions for our businesses and talent strategies.
The Research Analyst Graduate Intern is responsible for supporting The Walt Disney Company's research strategies through research and analysis of current workplace trends. This includes the locating, reading, analyzing, and the summarizing of literature, as well as validating the literature’s sources across academia, practice, and pop culture.
As a Research Analyst Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Capture requirements for key research topics
Search and scan available literature and research on these topics
Read and critically analyze each item
Collate all research and identify the strongest themes
Summarize all these and their relationship to the original research topic request
Build summary presentations as needed
Present and explain findings to key peer and client groups
Proactively identify ways to improve research approaches, tools, and methods
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Proven storytelling/presentation skills
Solid attention to detail
Expertise with MS Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Possess a natural curiosity and high degree of initiative and creativity
Ability to handle highly confidential information
Previous work/internship experience
Formal training, experience and exploratory in general analysis and research methodologies
Demonstrable ability to summarize and explain sophisticated concepts in an easy-to-understand format
Familiarity with search tools for both general and academic articles/summaries
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Currently pursuing and/or have graduated in the last 6 months with a master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or a closely related field
