Job Description

Tencent seeks an HR Intern for its Tokyo offices (full-time or part-time). Responsibilities encompass daily HR operations (P-file maintenance, documentation, letters), leading company culture events (team building, etc.), employee lifecycle management (pre-onboarding to offboarding), addressing employee queries, promoting wellness programs, fostering inter-office communication, vendor management, training support, process optimization, and participation in ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, understanding of local laws, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior HR experience is a plus.

We have 2 offices in Japan, one at 29F Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, 1-23-1 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo and the other at 14F Toranomon Hills Business Tower, 1-17-1 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-6490

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day HR operational duties such as P-file maintenance, HR Documentation and HR related letters
  • Lead organization company culture events such as team building, culture day, all-hands meeting and to build rapport, engage and sustain good relationships with stakeholders
  • Play a role as the employee life-cycle champion to look into pre-onboarding, onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Address queries on all HR related matters for example, onboarding/offboarding, mobility, claims and/or benefits related questions
  • Promote wellness programmes to help further enhance the culture and happiness of the Japan office
  • Promote communication and exchanges between the 2 legal entities in Japan
  • Vendor Sourcing / Procurement / Invoice payment processing
  • Support planning and organizing training for employees.
  • Optimize HR operations processes
  • Participate in various ad-hoc HR projects from time to time

Who We Look For

Requirements

  • Currently an undergraduate with a bachelor’s degree or above. Prior HR related work experience or internships will be a strong plus
  • Possess strong communication skills, self driven individual and is proactive
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and follow up on actions
  • Decent understand of the local laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
