The Implementation Consultant is responsible for supporting the implementation and trainings for Anthology Finance, HCM & Payroll solution for higher education institutions. This includes participating in business requirements reviews, configuring software, training end users on the software and writing functional documentation for delivery to the customer. The Implementation Consultant will support the other Consultants and/or Senior Manager in the definition and design of the customer’s solution.

 

This position reports directly to a Senior Manager for administrative, coaching, and mentoring activities. For customer project work, the Implementation Consultant will report to the project leadership (Project Manager, Senior Implementation Consultant, Senior Manager, or Solution Architect)

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the implementation team through the full cycle of the implementation including business process requirements validation, configuration of the HCM/Payroll application, key user training, user acceptance testing and Go-Live support  
  • Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the customer’s organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements is gathered, that those requirements align to business objectives, while gaining full understanding of current business processes  
  • As requested, conducting project reviews to ensure compliance with project goals and operability of solution. Managing the quality of the deliverables throughout the project life cycle   
  • Providing in-depth knowledge of the HCM/Payroll application and evaluating the customer’s business processes against the standard HCM/Payroll functionality 
  • Following the use of the prescribed Anthology implementation methodology, understanding the key activities and deliverables for the customer’s engagement  
  • Driving continuous process improvement in the implementation methodology and best practices  
  • Owning customer service escalations and transition to Support team  
  • Promoting a culture of high performance and providing ideas and solutions as well as training opportunities for self and team to Senior Manager
  • This role requires approximately 25% travel including possible weekends or holidays

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Experience with HR and Payroll processes including but not limited to: Compensation, Benefits, Leave and Absence, Recruiting, Skill Management, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Payroll Processing
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies to explain all Anthology products and services
  • Software troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven effective listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team and matrixed environment
  • Clear, effective communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting Management, Finance, MIS, or related field
  • 1 or more years of consulting experience in HRIS solutions specifically with focus on business process modeling and software implementation
  • 1 or more years working with project teams in software installation, configuration, customization, or implementation with Enterprise Accounting software package (D365/AX, SL, GP, Loki) or Payroll processing software
  • Higher education or Public Sector experience
  • Successful completion of current Microsoft certification exams (MB-900/MB-310) 

 

Pay range is $65,800 - $112,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
