Responsibilities

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounts payable professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT’s accounting organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Accounts Payable, the Manager, Accounts Payable will be “hands on” with direct responsibility for daily accounting and operations, month and quarter-end close and reporting, as well as being a key contributor to the management and implementation of projects. The selected candidate must also be an advocate for process improvement, transparency, teamwork, and maintaining high quality work product within the department. The selected candidate will be self-motivated and will be instrumental in the growth and expansion of the department. This position will interact with various levels of management, must deliver exceptional customer service and build successful relationships interacting cross-functionally, managing projects, and other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:
The Manager of Accounts Payable will be a key contributor in managing North America accounts payable operations and will provide support and guidance to business partners. Other responsibilities will include:

• Hands-on responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations (including certain general accounting responsibilities, month-end close, reconciliations and reporting)
• Manage and oversee sensitive payment processes (e.g. utility bill payments handled by a third-party vendor), ensuring accuracy and timely payments
• Work closely with the offshore team to ensure alignment and efficient workflow
• Ensure compliance with and adherence to company policies and proper execution of internal controls
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and responding to audit queries
• Identify ways to streamline and continuously improve processes and internal controls
• Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed, supporting the Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable
• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs

• Detail oriented

Preferred Education & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, including within accounts payable 
• SAP experience preferred but not required
• Blackline experience preferred but not required 
• Experience working with offshore teams preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
