Job Description

The Sales Manager for Memory products at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. in San Jose, CA, manages sales activities supporting specific customer businesses. This involves leveraging technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and apply products/services to their needs, generating revenue. Responsibilities include managing part of the rep network for Memory and SSDs, collaborating with key decision-makers to secure design wins, creating sales forecasts, conducting customer meetings, negotiating business awards and contracts, providing product information and support, and communicating market trends. Domestic and international travel is required.
Must have:
  • 3+ years semiconductor sales experience

What You’ll Do

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. (DSA) is a world leader in Memory, and Storage technologies. The Sales Manager for Memory products at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. based in San Jose, CA will be responsible for managing the sales activities supporting specific customer business by using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. This job will also entail working with and managing part of our Rep Network for Memory and SSD. 

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our HQ San Jose Office 3 - 4 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time with an average of 10% of domestic and international travel.

  • Rep Management, working with our local rep network in support of our customers primarily in the bay area.
  • Collaborate with key decision makers at customer to secure design wins and qualification slots on new programs for DRAM and NAND-based products.
  • Create and align sales forecast, delivering monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue and bit level goals.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer management meetings to provide support, address issues, communicate updates, and build strong relationships.
  • Negotiate quarterly/semi-annual business awards, including pricing and supply support.
  • Evaluate/Negotiate contract agreements and documents, negotiating terms with the customer and Samsung, and help resolve contract disputes.
  • Support sales opportunities by providing product information, roadmap updates, product samples, and price quotations.
  • Maintain awareness of and communicate internally to Device Solutions America/Korea sales and marketing teams regarding major market trends, customer strategies, and competitive activity.
  • Domestic & International business travel (Korea/Asia) to support customer meetings as needed.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Business or comparable degree with 10+ years of experience or Masters in Engineering, Business, or comparable engineering degree with 5+ Years of Industry Experience Preferred.
  • MUST have 3+ years sales experience in semiconductor industry 
  • Experience with DRAM/NAND or Hardware backgrounds a PLUS!
  • Travel to Korea for customer business reviews on an as needed basis (2-3x per year)
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Key Account Management/Coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Base Pay Range

$140,515 - $217,285 USD
