Job Purpose

The Merchandise Production Coordinator oversees material sourcing, vendor coordination, and the production process to ensure merchandise meets quality standards, is cost-effective, and is delivered on schedule. This role involves working with suppliers, managing timelines, and maintaining production efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and source materials that align with design and production needs

  • Assess and select production vendors based on reliability, pricing, and production capabilities
  • Serve as the primary contact between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth production workflows
  • Monitor production progress and resolve any issues to prevent delays
  • Ensure adherence to production timelines and delivery schedules
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and final products to meet required standards
  • Address production concerns with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material specifications, and vendor contracts
  • Ensure production activities align with budget estimates and deadlines
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency

What You'll Need

  • Degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Fashion Production, Garment Technology, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in merchandise production, garment manufacturing, or apparel-related roles
  • Hands-on experience overseeing production from sourcing to final product delivery
  • Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, printing, embroidery, and garment production
  • Ability to monitor production timelines, manage costs, and improve efficiency
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor and supplier coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
