The Partnerships Finance Intern will support the Partnership and Royalties-In teams at WildBrain CPLG for 6 months. Responsibilities include monitoring email and shared folders for invoices from licensors, updating Excel trackers with invoice details, comparing internal and external invoice amounts, alerting the manager of discrepancies, issuing invoices where necessary, tracking withholding tax certificates, and performing other ad-hoc tasks. The role requires strong Excel skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail. This is a hybrid role, combining office and remote work.

About the role

We are offering a 6 month internship! Reporting to the Royalties-In Manager, the Partnership Finance Intern will focus on assisting the Partnership and Royalties-In teams by managing the manual processes required of the team and providing valuable assistance in completing WB CPLG’s Licensor obligations.

Job Description

  • Regularly monitoring email inboxes and externally accessed Teams folders for newly submitted invoice documents received from key Licensors
  • Regularly updating Excel trackers with details of invoices received including invoice number, invoice date and amounts due
  • Logging details of the corresponding internal invoice from our in-house system to compare amounts due, if it has already been issued and if payment is received or outstanding.
  • Alerting the Royalties-In Manager when internal invoices are not created or don’t match that of the Licensor.
  • Where applicable, to ensure that invoices not previously submitted to 3rd party licensees are issued, via Outlook email or through the in-house system functionality.
  • To update the excel trackers as and when invoices are created, issued and settled.
  • Collating, tracking and reconciling withholding tax certificates received from licensees ahead of issue to Licensors.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational and prioritising skills 
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • A strong attention to detail
