Job Description

The Principal Shopping Sales Specialist role focuses on developing shopping strategies for retailers, aligning with customer business goals and improving Google Shopping performance. This involves articulating the features and value proposition of shopping solutions to drive adoption and growing a book of business by deeply understanding client needs. The role requires strong communication skills to relay client and market updates to leadership and involves collaboration with internal stakeholders across Shopping. Responsibilities include developing shopping strategies, articulating features and value proposition of shopping solutions, growing the book of business, and communicating client updates.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles OR 8 years with advanced degree

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with digital organizations.
  • Experience identifying and recommending scalable solutions to improve customer strategy, and working with executive leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with retailers or manufacturers using Google Shopping Ad products, Google Ads, and Merchant Center.
  • Experience selling and pitching digital marketing and measurement solutions to executive audiences.
  • Experience managing a book of business.
  • Knowledge of Performance Digital Marketing across planning, buying, and optimization.
  • Ability to deliver insights from data that creates business value and drives client action.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and lead discussions at an executive level.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Communicate client and market updates to Sales and Go-To-Market Leadership.
