Job Description

The Process Engineer – Industrialization is crucial for the successful launch and ongoing management of industrialization activities. This role ensures that manufacturing processes consider all industrial constraints until production launch and provides continuous support for manufacturing propellants, explosives, and munitions. Key responsibilities include collaborating with experts, supporting product manufacturability, ensuring manufacturability of products for projected industrial performance, overseeing successful production launches, and minimizing risks. The role is based in Benalla, Australia. This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in industrialization processes.
Must have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and industrialization process experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of production processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to establish or maintain an industrialized manufacturing process.
  • Capability in conducting root cause analysis of product defects.
  • Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Must be eligible for an Australian defense clearance.

The Process Engineer – Industrialisation is vital for the successful launch and ongoing management of industrialisation activities throughout the design, development, validation, and manufacturing/service phases.

 

This role ensures that the manufacturing processes fully consider all industrial constraints until the production launch and the continued support for the manufacturing of propellants, explosives, and munitions for both defence and commercial purposes.

  

Working at our Benalla site on Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is –

 

  • Collaborate with experts in methods, processes, technology, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and procurement from the design phase onward to guarantee the manufacturability and support of products, ensuring optimal projected industrial performance

  • Provide support for maturing the product and its manufacturability/serviceability from the design phase until the start of production

  • Collaborating across teams to ensure manufacturability/support of products for projected industrial performance

  • Overseeing the successful launch of product production

  • Minimizing risk and ensuring compliance in environmental safety and HSE

  • Championing and implementing sustainability and emissions reduction initiatives as needed

 

 

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, supported by experience of industrialisation processes

  • Extensive knowledge of production processes in a manufacturing environment, including product-specific manufacturing processes

  • Demonstrated ability to establish or maintain an industrialized product manufacturing process and associated technical and manufacturing data packs

  • Proven capability in conducting root cause analysis of product defects and implementing corrective actions

  • Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques

  • Must be eligible for an Australian defence clearance
