Job Description

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Product Manager with an enthusiast mindset to assist with the development and management of Drop’s mechanical keyboard accessories product line. This position reports into the Senior Product Manager for Mechanical Keyboards, Accessories. The ideal candidate has an insatiable appetite for mechanical keyboards, a community-oriented mindset, a strong background in product development from concept to go-to-market, and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams to bring about successful product launches. Responsibilities include managing the product roadmap, creating CMF documents, coordinating with various teams, interfacing with manufacturers, tracking product performance, communicating roadmaps, attending events, engaging the community, and resolving customer issues.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
  • 5+ years in product management
  • Passion for mechanical keyboards
  • Domestic and international travel ability
  • Work in fast-paced environments
  • Work with local and remote teams
  • Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills
  • English fluency
Good to have:
  • Experience in consumer electronics
  • Chinese (Mandarin) fluency

  • Create and maintain Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) documents
  • Coordinate with project management, channel marketing, & go-to-market teams
  • Interface with contract manufacturers to help develop products
  • Track product performance, market conditions, and perform competitive analysis to make lifecycle and roadmap decisions
  • Communicate product ideas and roadmap decisions to leadership
  • Attend trade shows and community meet-ups as a brand representative
  • Engage the community through our discussions, reviews, and other channels
  • Coordinate with customer support to resolve technical product questions and issues
  • Consolidate product feedback from community and customer support to inform product development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry
  • A passion for mechanical keyboards and a deep understanding of the market
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes challenging environment
  • Experience working with both local and remote team members (domestic & international)
  • Detail oriented, process driven and great problem solving skills
  • English fluency, Chinese (Mandarin) a tremendous asset
