Overview
Blue Yonder is seeking an intermediate-level Product Manager to join our Product Management team for our supply chain execution optimization systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong background in product management. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day engineering tasks, planning for current and future sprints, and assisting in the overall product management process to ensure our supply chain execution optimization systems meet the needs of our customers and business goals.
What you’ll do
- Sprint Planning and Management: Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and prioritize tasks for current and future sprints, ensuring alignment with product goals and timelines.
- Sprint Roadmap Management: Manage multiple sprint roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the release roadmap and prioritizing tasks based on business priorities and customer feedback.
- Sprint Review and Retrospective: Participate in sprint review meetings to demo completed features, gather feedback, and contribute to retrospective sessions to identify areas for process improvement.
- Requirements Gathering: Assist in gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders, translating them into actionable user stories and tasks for the engineering team.
- Product Development Support: Work closely with engineers to provide clarification on product requirements, review designs, and assist in making trade-off decisions during development.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that developed features meet quality standards and are aligned with customer expectations.
- User Feedback Management: Assist in gathering user feedback and insights through various channels, such as user interviews and usability tests, and communicate findings to the product team.
- Documentation: Help maintain product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical documentation, to ensure that stakeholders have access to up-to-date information.
- Product Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring product performance and key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for product enhancements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in warehouse optimization and product management to contribute fresh ideas and insights to the team.
- Service Level Descriptions: Develop and maintain service level descriptions for warehouse optimization systems, ensuring clear communication of features, functionalities, and performance expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Other Support Activities: Support market research, competitor analysis, and assisting in the creation of product roadmaps.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in product management
- Strong understanding of supply chain execution and optimization
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical role, such as software engineering or quality assurance, with exposure to agile methodologies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
