Job Description
As a Product Technology Manager, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of Google's largest advertising clients or product partners. You'll lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales, and Product Management, leveraging emerging technologies. Responsibilities include concept design, testing, data analysis, support, and overseeing technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms or product partnerships. You'll balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions, and act as a consultant. Building tools, automating products, developing product strategy, and prioritizing projects and resources are also key aspects of this role. You will partner with internal stakeholders to establish technical roadmaps, understand complex business problems, and ensure technical solutions enable easy data access for reporting and visualization. Collaboration with Product Engineers to enhance platforms and create applications is also required.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years system design or code reading experience (Java, C++, Python)
- 5 years technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management experience
- Cross-functional team leadership
- Technical solution design and implementation
Good to have:
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and manage stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills (technical and business audiences)
- Ambiguity navigation and scalability across large, distributed teams

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to navigate complex business organizations, manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders and consult optimal solutions.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome challenges and scale across a large organization and highly distributed team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages to both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to establish technical road maps that accomplish our business objectives. Understand complex, ambiguous, open-ended business problems and produce an actionable, results-oriented strategy to solve those problems.
- Ensure that technical solutions are designed in a way that enable other Analytical teams to easily access data for operational reporting and data visualization.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
- Build and action product architectures and solution roadmaps, including the design of infrastructure necessary to support the business objectives of our stakeholders.
- Create launch programs with partners to ensure that new products and feature releases are tested before broad-scale deployment. Perform implementation reviews, convert new product features and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
