Job Description

As a Programming Team Lead, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our games. You will lead a team of around 10 Programmers, ensuring successful project delivery across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for developing and implementing schedules, distributing tasks, and evaluating the team's work. You will also assist in estimating project timelines, support the team in overcoming challenges, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires hands-on support with programming tasks and ensuring overall project success.
Must have:
  • Experience leading and managing programming teams in game production.
  • Shipped at least one game as a Lead Programmer or Team Lead.
  • Strong C++ programming background.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize work and adhere to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.
Good to have:
  • Expertise in working on AAA games.
  • Experience with Unreal.

As a Programming Team Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our games and leading the way with strategic decisions. As a Team Lead, you'll lead a team of around10 Programmers, each bringing their unique skills and expertise to the table. 


In this role you will:
  • Lead and manage a dedicated programming team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects across multiple SKUs in a live environment. 
  • Develop and implement schedules, efficiently distributing tasks and resources within the programming team. 
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate the team's work, providing guidance to meet project objectives. 
  • Assist in estimating project timelines, committing to deliverables, and supporting the team in overcoming technical challenges. 
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering their professional development. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external clients, producers, directors, designers, and artists. 
  • Offer hands-on support with programming tasks when required and perform additional duties as needed to ensure project success. 


What we're looking for:
  • Experience leading and managing programming teams in game production. 
  • You shipped at least one game as a Lead Programmer or Team Lead, and have a proven track record of shipping games as a Programmer on PC and/or consoles. 
  • Strong C++ programming background, enabling you to challenge and support technical decisions.  
  • You love solving challenging technical problems with the most effective solutions. 
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize work, and adhere to deadlines. 
  • A real understanding of video game production and the ability to put yourself in the shoes of the other professionals involved in production.  
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.

Nice to have: 
  • Expertise in working on AAA games, ideally throughout the entire production life cycle. 
  • Experience with Unreal.

Dans ce rôle, vous devrez :
  • Diriger et gérer une équipe de programmation dédiée, en veillant à ce que les projets soient menés à terme sur plusieurs UGS dans un environnement réel;
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des calendriers, en répartissant efficacement les tâches et les ressources au sein de l'équipe de programmation;
  • Planifier, organiser et évaluer le travail de l'équipe, en fournissant des conseils pour atteindre les objectifs du projet;
  • Contribuer à l'estimation des délais du projet, s'engager sur les produits livrables et aider l'équipe à surmonter les défis techniques;
  • Encadrer et guider les membres de l'équipe, en favorisant leur développement professionnel;
  • Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles, notamment des producteurs, des réalisateurs, des concepteurs et des artistes;
  • Offrir un soutien pratique pour les tâches de programmation et effectuer d'autres tâches, si nécessaire, pour assurer la réussite du projet.


Ce que nous recherchons :
  • Une expérience en direction et gestion d'équipes de programmation dans la production de jeux;
  • Vous avez livré au moins un jeu en tant que d'équip chef·fe de programmation et vous avez fait vos preuves dans la livraison de jeux en tant que programmeur sur PC et/ou consoles;
  • Vous avez de solides connaissances en programmation C++, ce qui vous permet de remettre en question et de soutenir les décisions techniques;
  • Vous aimez résoudre des problèmes techniques difficiles avec des solutions efficaces;
  • Vous êtes capable d'établir des priorités, de planifier et d'organiser votre travail et de respecter les délais;
  • Une réelle compréhension de la production de jeux vidéo et la capacité de se mettre à la place des autres professionnels impliqués dans la production;
  • Bonnes compétences en communication et maîtrise de l'anglais.

Atout :
  • Expérience sur des productions de jeux AAA, idéalement sur un cycle de production complet.
  • Expérience avec Unreal.
