Position Summary

 

The Regional Sales Manager – Leather plays a pivotal role in executing Buckman’s strategic. He/She ensures the achievement of the Mexico OpCo Leather sales, Gross Profit (GP) and Market Profit Contribution (MPC) targets, from inception through execution of Leather sales plan, pricing and negotiating prices and commercial conditions in accordance to the OpCo policy, participation in visits to main customers with a focus on growing customer share.

He/She delivers sales, GP and MPC targets for his/her direct customers. Ensures the achievement of the division´s free cash flow goals, by controlling the execution and accuracy of the sales FORECAST, negotiating payment terms in accordance with the OpCos policy and keeping account receivables under control.

Performance management of his/her direct reports ensuring collaboration, accountability, and teamwork. Promotes the professional development of direct reports using Buckman's performance management tools.
Leads the division's strategic projects by defining priorities, coordinating resource allocation, preparing financial analyzes and investment requests.
Technical support the division and customers, through process optimization, participation in product evaluation and the exploration and proposition of specific solutions.

 

Competencies Needed for Success

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the Leather Industry and a least 2 years as Sales Manager at regional, national, or international level. His/Her role's responsibilities include managing and guiding all aspects of projects from inception through execution, cultivating of internal, as well as external relationships. Key attributes being sought include exceptional communication skills, unwavering attention to detail, and an innate desire for teamwork and integration. This is a demanding and challenging position with development opportunities which requires the following profile:

 

          Chemistry, Engineering or Administration degree. Industry specific education/experience as Leather Technician.

          Excellent knowledge about Leather Market

          Excelling in sales management

          Excellent for human relations, teamwork, sales, pro-active, high responsibility

          Excellent for new business development

          Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports.

          Strong solution sales skills and business analysis

          Excellent oral and written communication skills

Highly Desirable Experiences

          Sales in Leather chemical market.

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical area. Specialty/technical knowledge in Leather is desirable.
  • + 5 years of work experience in sales
  • +2 years’ experience of management at regional, national or international level
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organization skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leather market sales experience
