Job Description

The Account Strategist, Mid-Market Sales role at Google Customer Solutions involves building and managing client relationships, understanding their business needs, and developing marketing strategies using Google advertising products. Responsibilities include achieving growth goals, presenting Google solutions, performing data-driven analyses, and providing consultative recommendations. The ideal candidate possesses experience in advertising, sales, or marketing, along with strong communication and analytical skills. They will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project completion and will proactively identify opportunities to help clients meet their marketing objectives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and approximately 20% travel.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising, sales, marketing, or related field
  • Client relationship management and strategy development
  • Data-driven analysis and consultative recommendations
  • Proficient in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms
Good to have:
  • Experience launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns
  • Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, or clients
  • Strong storytelling and narrative building skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns, particularly in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, or clients.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context.
  • Ability to achieve goals to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business issues, marketing goals, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Plan and achieve growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing goals.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing goals.
