This Sales Engineer role at Sinch focuses on Elastic SIP Trunking (EST), requiring 5+ years of experience in sales/solutions engineering. Responsibilities include pre-sales activities, project management, client relationship building, and technical support throughout the entire Sinch communications channel portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. They should possess expertise in integrating VoIP technologies with enterprise-level platforms, and experience with messaging services (SMS, MMS, RCS). The role demands the ability to manage complex technical projects, lead technical sales strategies, and clearly present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A deep understanding of the telecommunications industry is essential.

Description

We are seeking a Sales Engineer who thrives in complex and dynamic environments. This candidate will possess strong technical, analytical and communication skills, and bring strategic/critical thinking to the team. This role involves engaging with customers across multiple vertical segments in pre-sales activities, managing projects and relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who excels in a collaborative setting and can lead projects and teams effectively.

While the ideal candidate will support the entire protfolio of Sinch's communications channels (including Voice, Messaging, Email, and OTT) this position may focus primarily as a technical expert supporting Elastic SIP Trunking (EST) from initial engagement through successful deployment. The role offers a dynamic mix of technical sales, proof of concept support, and continual technical guidance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Sales/Solutions Engineering
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience with SIP trunking solutions, and integrating VoIP technologies with enterprise-level platforms
  • Experience with messaging services including SMS, MMS, RCS and other common channels.
  • Email experience is a plus.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Capable of discussing designs and implementing complex telecommunication solutions to ensure a proper understanding of operational efficiency and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and lead technical strategy in sales engagements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for presenting technical information to various non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven success in fostering collaboration across multiple departments and effectively managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities, with the ability to translate this knowledge into actionable sales strategies.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $112,000.00 - $135,000.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for bonus.
