Job Description

As a Senior Account Management professional in the Education Industry at Microsoft, you'll drive AI transformation, partnering with clients to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes. Leveraging a large, multi-functional team, you'll engage at senior levels, offering industry-relevant AI solutions. Responsibilities include developing and executing account plans to meet revenue targets and customer outcomes, engaging stakeholders, orchestrating the customer team, proactively understanding customer needs, driving new business opportunities, and advocating for clients internally. You'll also deliver sales excellence, lead virtual teams, and build strong knowledge of the customer's industry and partners.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in relevant industry or digital transformation
  • 3+ years account management experience
  • Advanced English level
  • C-level client relationship building
  • Experience selling complex cloud solutions
Good to have:
  • 8+ years industry experience, digital transformation, or consulting experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business or Technology

Overview

As an Education Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive AI transformation in partnership with your customer, to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes.  

Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace AI technologies. With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will give the opportunity to leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against your customer’s account plan.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in a relevant industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 2+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation
    • OR equivalent experience
    • OR 5+ years experience in working in a relevant industry (e.g., Education, Government), driving AI transformation, and/or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
  • 3+ years account management experience OR equivalent
  • Advanced English level.
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong partnerships and trust with clients at C-level.
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex, cloud-based solutions to Enterprise customers.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • 8+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 4+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)

 

 

Responsibilities

  • As the customer advocate you will develop and oversee the execution of account plan(s) to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer outcomes are met. 
  • You will engage with internal and external stakeholders on business planning, to promote mutually beneficial customer AI transformation strategies.
  • You will orchestrate the full customer team across all areas of Microsoft to ensure we are focused on delivering customer outcomes across the customer lifecycle to build deep trust with Microsoft. 
  • You will proactively develop an understanding of the customer’s business, industry priorities to drive new business opportunities/ drive growth/net new business and advocates on behalf of the customer internally, ensuring requests and needs of assigned accounts are being addressed.  
  • You will deliver Sales Excellence and lead and orchestrate extended virtual teams across our solution areas to consistently achieve growth in revenue and market share.  
  • You will build and maintain a strong knowledge of customers’ industry, associated business strategy, and key industry partners and solutions.  
  • Will you gain deeper insights and knowledge through direct engagement in their customers’ business and operations.
