Project description

We have been engaged by a prominent Australian company to collaborate on their Treasury projects. Our goal is to build an offshore team that will work closely with their existing team to drive these initiatives forward.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with over 10 years of relevant experience, specializing in migration projects within the capital markets industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and extensive expertise in managing complex projects involving data sourcing, mapping, and ETL processes. This role requires a deep understanding of Treasury data, including positions, trades, settlements, and accounts. This is a high-profile engagement, offering a unique opportunity to expand our offshore footprint with this client rapidly. You will be working alongside an Architect, Business Analysts, Solution Designer, Tech Lead, and Infrastructure Integration Specialist to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex migration projects in the capital markets industry.

Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.

Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and any issues that arise.

Facilitate requirement gathering, ensuring all technical and business requirements are clearly documented.

Oversee data migration processes, including data sourcing, mapping, and ETL workflows.

Ensure the quality and integrity of migrated data.

Lead risk management activities, identifying and mitigating potential project risks.

Provide leadership and direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Skills

Must have

Over 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technical projects in the capital markets industry.

Proven experience managing large-scale migration projects.

Strong understanding of Treasury data, including positions, trades, settlements, and accounts.

Expertise in data sourcing, mapping, and ETL processes.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Experience working with offshore and onshore teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.

Nice to have

PMP or other relevant project management certification.

Experience with Agile methodologies.

Knowledge of specific Treasury systems and platforms.

Previous experience working with Australian clients.

Technical background in software development or systems integration.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the capital markets industry.
