We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with a passion for agile methodologies. This role involves facilitating agile teams using the Scrum methodology on moderately complex IT projects. The Senior Scrum Master will provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching, directly impacting our Agile development process and application delivery. Responsibilities include enforcing Agile best practices, removing impediments, promoting team empowerment, organizing and facilitating meetings, coaching teams on Scrum values and process improvement, acting as an Agile ambassador, ensuring transparency, experimenting with continuous improvement tools, collaborating with technical teams and managers, and aiming to build strong, productive relationships for timely software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Scrum and Kanban, excellent communication and coaching skills, and a desire for continuous learning.
Must have:
  • 5 years of Scrum Master experience
  • 1.5 years of SAFe experience
  • Knowledge of User Stories, Sprint Planning, Backlog refinement
  • 1 year of Jira experience
  • Experience leading 2-3 cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English

Job Description:

The Senior Scrum Master Facilitates one or several agile teams, each working under the scrum methodology on a diverse, moderately complex IT project.
They provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching skills that directly impact our Agile development process and the delivery of our applications. As an Agile expert, the Scrum Master will be responsible for enforcing Agile “best practices,” removing impediments, and promoting empowerment amongst team members. The Scrum Master is a servant leader with the demeanor and acumen to handle most any situation faced by our development teams.

Your responsibilities: 

  • You will handle all Scrum / Kanban aspects by serving teams as their Coach and organizing / facilitating required meetings and retrospectives. 
  • You will ensure the development process runs smoothly by removing impediments and solving conflicts that are hampering the teams' advancement. 
  • You will coach the teams to adhere to Scrum values and to improve their processes and practices. 
  • You will become an Agile ambassador and promote a clear understanding of the theory and methods behind the development framework by providing training for development teams, stakeholders, and anyone else who could benefit from Scrum and Kanban in our organization. 
  • You will be responsible for transparency in the development process and must communicate information to the relevant recipient efficiently and coherently. 
  • You will be able to experiment with processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement. 
  • You will collaborate with the other technical teams and managers and aim to build a strong, productive relationship to ensure goals are met and the software is delivered on time. 
  • You will continuously seek to improve the current Agile process within the different teams and across the entire organization. 
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least Five years
  • Hands on experience of at least 1.5 years on SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Sprint Planning, Backlog refinement etc.
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience in working with Jira
  • Experienced in leading 2–3 cross-functional teams, each consisting of 6–7 members, operating across diverse geographical locations
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Has a thorough understanding of Scrum and Kanban methods and different coaching techniques and has a genuine interest in expanding their expertise in all the required areas. 
  • Has exceptional communication skills which make them an engaging individual who can integrate easily with teams of all sizes. 
  • Has a natural ability to command attention and behaves in a professional manner so that colleagues consider them to be reliable and trustworthy. 
  • Has a thirst for knowledge which makes them a fanatic learner. 
  • Speaks English fluently.
