About the Team

The Traffic Infrastructure Global Engineering (TIGE) team at ByteDance operates a large network of POPs around the world that we use to accelerate site traffic and cache CDN content, and we own all layer 4 and layer 7 traffic management for Tiktok Edge. By joining us, you can learn how to build content delivery networks and Edge Computing Platform within Tiktok's Edge. To better support Tiktok, the TIGE team is seeking aspiring software engineers who can join us in improving our Kubernetes based Cloud Native Traffic Platform. The traffic platform balances, manages and processes Tiktok application traffic across all Tiktok's edge clusters. The traffic platform also contains varied network services in order to orchestrate the delivery of bits from our servers to your phone. Responsibilities

• Design and develop the global Stability and Operations Platform for ByteDance's cloud infrastructure.
• Support the construction of Intelligent Operations Platforms, including systems for change management, monitoring/alerting, incident response, and service assurance.
• Design and develop reusable components and optimization tools for the platform.
• Participate in the product lifecycle, from definition and planning to the development of stability-focused products.
• Contribute to global stability architecture and product governance initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Possess a strong sense of responsibility and updated with industry and technology trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the development or operations of cloud products.
• Experience with data analysis and a strong understanding of stability governance principles.
