As a Senior Product Manager within the Ad Platform technology team at DE&E, you'll define Addressable and Cross Media advertising strategies. Responsibilities include contributing to product strategy, defining business and functional requirements for engineering, and driving execution. You'll improve forecasting accuracy and usability, generate product requirements, manage the product backlog, and align stakeholders (Product, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance). You'll also set priorities, establish launch strategies, and collaborate with peers to ensure alignment with other sales channels. The role requires deep user empathy and problem-solving skills. The focus is on building the future of advertising technology for Disney's video and display ads across web and streaming platforms.

  • 5+ years product management experience in video & advertising tech

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DE&E) Ad Platforms is responsible for delivering global adverting technology solutions for Disney's Linear and Addressable channels, brands, and streaming services. With unmatched scale, premium content, and innovative capabilities, DE&E Ad Platforms is a market leader in advertising. We build and maintain proprietary technology solutions supporting the Quote-To-Cash (Q2C) Advertising Sales workflows, ranging from CRM, Planning, Pricing, Order Management, Forecasting, and Billing as well as all the integrations internal and external that come with evolving and maintaining a best-in-class video advertising business.

As a Senior Product Manager within the Ad Platform technology team at DE&E, you will be a part of the team defining Addressable and Cross Media advertising. This is a highly dynamic environment that requires insight into content availability, user engagement, custom ad experiences, and advertiser driven constraints. You will be responsible for contributing to the product strategy, defining business and functional requirements consumable for engineering, and driving execution to establish the platform's future. The right person for this role can identify business value, solve complex problems, concisely articulate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ultimately drive results. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of the product vision, strategy, and delivery plan for Disney’s Addressable forecasting product suite. The forecasting suite powers our addressable advertising business for video and display ads across both web and streaming platforms. 
  • Apply AI principles to improve forecasting accuracy and usability of the forecasting product to provide strategic guidance to business stakeholders
  • Generate product requirements and documentation consumable for engineering teams to configure and develop against
  • Responsible for management and health of the product backlog, ensuring concise requirements definition, organization, and prioritization.
  • Drive alignment to a common product vision across a diverse set of stakeholders including Product, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance/Accounting
  • Set and communicate clear priorities for assigned products based on strategic goals, market conditions, and customer requirements, and regularly communicate product status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish launch and growth strategies and plans for our ad support offerings across the globe. 
  • Collaborate with Product Management peers to ensure Product Strategy and requirements align with other Sales Channels including Programmatic and Self Service.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in video & advertising technology
  • Extensive knowledge of forecasting tools, time-series prediction methods, regression models, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Excellent requirements & solution design documentation, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data and a desire to understand how things work
  • Maintains a deep empathy for our users, and wants to creatively solve problems with a viewer-first mentality
  • Experience fostering critical partnership by collaborating with product managers, ad sales and operational teams to drive delivery against roadmap priorities.
  • Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica is $138,900 - $186,200 per year, in San Francisco is $152,100 - $203,900, and in New York and Seattle is $145,400 - $195,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
