We are seeking a skilled Senior Revenue Analyst with 7+ years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in revenue recognition, financial analysis, and working with accounting systems. This role involves managing the revenue accounting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting. The Revenue Accounting Analyst will also assist in data analysis and audit preparation.
What you’ll do:
Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
Contract Review: Review customer contracts and agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition, including identifying key terms related to billing, delivery, and performance obligations.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue-related financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards like ASC 606.
Data Analysis: Analyze revenue data to identify trends, discrepancies, and insights that support business decision-making.
Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations for revenue-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of variances.
Software tool Utilization: Utilize Revpro tool (or similar) for navigating, processing transactions, running reports and ensure the integrity of revenue data in the system.
Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits related to revenue recognition and reporting.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, AR, and Commission teams to ensure proper recognition and reporting of revenue, and to address any issues that may arise.
What you’ve done:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related financial role.
Solid understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., MS D365, SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
Experience in revenue accounting for large or multinational companies.
Familiarity with ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and its application in various industries.
Experience supporting financial audits and compliance requirements.
