ABOUT THE ROLE           
 
As a Technical Accountant you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position involves analyzing complex accounting issues, preparing technical documentation, and providing guidance to internal teams on accounting policies and procedures. The Group follows IFRS and consolidates reporting on a monthly basis. The role is key in managing financial reporting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements across the Group. 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:                 

  • Analysing and interpreting financial data to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing technical accounting memos and position papers on complex accounting issues.
  • Monitoring changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the financials
  • Leading and implementing adoption of new IFRS standards including evaluation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Supporting financial reporting processes whilst being responsible for the annual financial statements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and provide training on accounting standards.
  • Monitoring changes in accounting regulations and assessing their impact on the organization.
  • Participating in audits and liaising with external auditors regarding technical accounting matters.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of accounting processes and systems.
               
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
   
Essential Skills:        
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on technical accounting and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have skills:              

  • Experience working in a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Igaming industry knowledge.
