Summary

The Sr Sales Forecasting Analyst will report to the Sr Sales Manager and will be based in the UK office. The role requires collating, challenging, and creating sales forecasts using top-down and bottom-up methods, gathering internal and external insights, ensuring forecast alignment with sales management, maintaining information in the forecasting tool (Anaplan), and ensuring forecast accessibility via Tableau. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a forecasting-related role, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent collaboration and influence skills.

The Sales Forecasting team works closely with Sales and Marketing in producing the most accurate and impartial forecast possible, and are a key contributor to the business S&OP cycle in helping to shape demand and supply. 

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

This position will report to the Sr Sales Manager (and dotted into the Sales Forecasting Manager), and will be based in our UK office. You will analyse business performance for your market across a diverse range of products, identifying trends and opportunities, and lead co-planning meetings with Sales and Marketing colleagues. You will also attend S&OP cycle meetings, where you will be expected to articulate root-cause understanding of sales performance and the forward forecast.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Through cross-functional collaboration, collate, challenge, calibrate, and create the most-likely and best-possible POS and sales forecast at toy x market level by month by customer for a total market, employing combination of top-down and bottom-up methods for top and tail items 
  • Organise and lead the co-planning sessions with key stakeholders to continuously align assumptions, enrich forecast, constructively challenge figures 
  • Gather internal and external insights that affect the forecast; calculate and determine bias to challenge and improve our accuracy 
  • Ensure Sales Forecast is reviewed and aligned with sales management in line with our planning cycles 
  • Maintain and update the right information and parameters in the forecasting tool (Anaplan) 
  • Ensure forecast is accurately measured, and is accessible to all key stakeholders via Tableau 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 3+ years experience in a forecasting-related role 
  • Ability to convert data insights to business recommendations
  • Exceptional problem solving & analytical ability 
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across functions and countries 
  • High level of organizational and time management skills 
  • Knowledge of contemporary sales forecasting processes and tools is a Plus 
  • Experience with working within an S&OP environment in a matrix organization is a Plus
