Job Description

The Strategy and Insights Manager role at Google supports the Large Customer Sales (LCS) team. Responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor on business strategy, planning, and customer portfolio management; providing insights on industry trends and customer performance using data analysis; developing and delivering presentations to C-level customers; managing projects with multiple stakeholders; and building relationships with customers' marketing and insights functions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or financial analysis. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with experience with SQL and Python. The role involves working with Google's broad range of products across search, video, and mobile to help clients connect with their audiences.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience conducting primary research with third-party research partners.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising solutions (e.g., Search, Video, Social, E-commerce).
  • Ability to structure hypotheses and generate insights for business decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with knowledge of SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor for the Large Customer Sales (LCS) team on business strategy, planning and customer portfolio management, supporting achievement of quarterly and yearly goals.
  • Provide problem-solving insights on industry trends and customer performance analyzing data from Google, customers, and third-parties.
  • Develop story lines and presentations and deliver them to C-level customers alongside sales teams to achieve an outcome.
  • Scope, manage, and deliver projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working on concurrent deadlines.
  • Build relationships with customers’ Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, and Insights functions to understand opportunities and challenges, and derive implications for Google, work with Google’s Marketing team on third-party researches and go-to-market narratives, leveraging marketing channels to drive communication and thought leadership.
