Supplier Quality Engineer

Indianapolis, IN (hybrid working)

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will promote and maintain Quality in the aligned business area through a strategy of Assure, Protect and Enable activities, so that the business can achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction. This leader must maintain an independence reflecting the business and regulatory. In this role, you will have up to 25% domestic travel.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and lead (where appropriate) the deployment of the Quality strategy for the aligned business area to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Support the development and deployment of Quality capability (skills & knowledge) and culture of the aligned business to meet future regulatory, customer and business requirements.
  • Deploy metrics, key performance indicators; ensure appropriate governance and support is in place within the aligned business area to drive Quality performance to meet requirements, business goals and enhance its reputation.
  • To drive change to the Operating System (process, culture & leadership, governance & risk) and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximize effectiveness and eliminate cost / waste through insight obtained from proactive assurance and problem themes.
  • Protect the business and customer through performing, managing and coaching of problem containment and resolution, to minimize impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.
  • Conduct product audit and process walks and review effectiveness of supplier’s internal assurance programs

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree and 4+ years of experience with root cause and corrective action investigation, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience with root cause and corrective action investigation, OR
  • Master's degree, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 6+ years of experience with root cause and corrective investigation, in a quality field experience in lieu of a degree
