Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the studio's IT infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize high-performance computing resources for an efficient rendering process.
- Monitor and troubleshoot server and network performance, addressing issues promptly.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools and systems.
- Partner with the IT Team to manage upgrades and patches for all Servers, VMs, and Workstations.
Security and Networking:
- Implement and manage security procedures
- Physical and logical network segregation
- Harden Linux images across Servers and Workstations.
- Manage firewall configurations.
Data, Identity, and Access Management:
- Centralize and manage user accounts and permissions across regions.
- Implement identity-based data access management.
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical data.
- Manage data synchronization to international regions and staff.
Collaboration with Technical and Creative Teams:
- Collaborate with technical directors, artists, and animators to optimize system configurations.
- Work closely with the IT team to integrate new technologies and tools for enhanced production processes.
Documentation and Training:
- Document system configurations, processes, and best practices for reference and training.
- Manage security and Systems administration training for the IT Team.
- Conduct training sessions for CG team members on new tools, workflows, and system updates.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Linux operating systems (Preferably RHEL base Operating Systems)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Proficient in identity and user management.
- Experience with NFS and file-sharing technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
