Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer in Microsoft's Customer Service & Support team, you will own, troubleshoot, and resolve customer technical issues. You'll collaborate with various teams, leverage troubleshooting tools, and contribute to product improvements by identifying defects. This hybrid role (up to 50% remote) involves investigating and solving customer problems, participating in knowledge-sharing communities, and continuously developing technical and professional skills through training. The position requires strong problem-solving, collaboration, and research abilities, and contributes to a seamless support experience for Microsoft customers, helping them achieve more from their investment.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field
  • 1+ year experience (or 3+ years without degree)
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Technical troubleshooting expertise

In the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team we are looking for people with a passion for delivering customer success. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career growth, hone your problem-solving, collaboration and research skills, and develop your technical proficiency.


This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
o OR 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
o OR equivalent experience

 

Language Qualification
English Language: fluent in reading, writing and speaking.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Response and Resolution: You own, investigate and solve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
• Readiness: You lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles and, where appropriate, share your knowledge.
• You develop specific technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve customer issues, through training and readiness.
• Product/Process Improvement: You identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to resolve, contributing to Microsoft product improvements.
