Job Description
Sonar is seeking a creative Visual Designer to join their Corporate Marketing Team. The role involves growing corporate branding and supporting marketing efforts with engaging digital and print assets. The designer will create assets for both internal and external use, craft end-to-end visual experiences, reinforce the Sonar brand identity, develop digital marketing assets, design event collateral, create branded imagery and iconography for web properties, design visuals for blog and social media posts, templatize brand assets, and design branded promotional items. The goal is to communicate the value of Sonar to developers worldwide, helping them write high-quality code.
Must have:
- Minimum 5 years of design experience
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premier, Figma)
- Experience using AI for design tasks
- Understanding of print processes
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to translate messages visually
- Manage multiple complex projects
- Support context-switching
- Team player, giving and receiving feedback

The Impact You Will Have:
As a creative Visual Designer at Sonar you will help grow corporate branding while supporting marketing efforts with sharp, engaging digital and print assets that help to communicate the value of Sonar as a solution to all developers striving to write high quality code.
We want to create marketing material that communicates to the world the benefit that Sonar brings to developers and the applications they build. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a talented Visual Designer - you! - to join the Corporate Marketing Team.
What You Will Do Daily:
- Create assets to be used both internally and externally to contribute to marketing efforts as well as the growth of the Sonar brand.
- Help craft end-to-end visual experiences for our key audiences across key assets
- Further define, reinforce, and evangelize the Sonar brand identity
- Develop engaging assets for digital marketing campaigns to support the demand generation squad
- Work closely with our Events Marketing Manager to design branded event collateral such as booth designs and promotional items
- Support in the creation of branded imagery and iconography for Sonar’s web properties
- Work with content creators to design supporting visuals to accompany blog and social media posts
- Templatize commonly used brand assets for internal team use
- Design branded promo items such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, stickers and more.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a design capacity at a creative agency or working with an in-house marketing team
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premier and Figma
- Experience using AI to scale your efforts and assist in the creation of high quality deliverables
- Understanding of print processes
- Strong communication and listening skills
- An open-minded and positive can-do attitude
- Adept at translating unique messages into visual media on a variety of platforms
- Capable of managing multiple complex projects - scopes and timelines
- Ability to support context-switching
