Ness Digital Engineering seeks an experienced Cloud Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using modern cloud technologies. Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud data architectures using platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, developing data models, implementing automated data pipelines, optimizing data storage and query performance, establishing RBAC and security protocols, leading cloud migrations, and collaborating with engineering teams on ETL/ELT processes. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of data architecture experience (3+ in cloud), expertise in cloud-native data warehousing, proficiency in SQL and languages like Python or Scala, and a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, data pipeline architecture, and data governance.
Must have:

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using modern cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will architect robust data systems leveraging cloud-native platforms while ensuring optimal data modeling and pipeline efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable cloud data architectures using modern data warehousing and analytics platforms
- Develop logical and physical data models for structured and semi-structured data
- Design and implement automated data pipelines for efficient data processing
- Optimize data storage and query performance in cloud environments
- Establish role-based access controls (RBAC) and security protocols for cloud data systems
- Lead cloud migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern data platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ETL/ELT processes
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in data architecture with 3+ years cloud-focused experience
- Expertise in cloud-native data warehousing and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
- Proficiency in SQL optimization and data processing languages (e.g., Python, Scala)
- Strong understanding of:
- Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Data pipeline architecture (batch and stream processing)
- Data governance frameworks and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud data platform certifications
- Experience with data mesh or data fabric architectures
- Knowledge of machine learning integration patterns in cloud platforms
