Are you ready to play your part in this?
We are recruiting a Customs Process Administrator to have responsibility for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all customs-related processes and procedures. This role involves coordinating with various departments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of customs regulations and logistics.
What will you do?
- Customs Documentations Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations and company policies.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with local and international customs laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in customs laws and update procedures as necessary.
- Coordination: Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely clearance of goods.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs transactions and related documentation.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter customs-related data into company systems and databases.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customs-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to customs clearance, including delays, compliance discrepancies, and documentation errors.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on customs activities, compliance status, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance in customs operations.
Who are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of international customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customs management software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in customs or trade compliance are a plus (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)).
