This full-time, 6-month internship (June 14, 2025 - January 3, 2026) in Kissimmee, Florida involves creating and modifying computer-generated drafting, graphics, and 3D models for live shows (parades, stage shows, special events). Responsibilities include assisting with field information gathering (laser scanning, photography, measurements), advancing pre-visualization workflow, contributing to the design process from concept to bid package, participating in meetings, and coordinating conference room logistics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of 2D/3D design and proficiency in at least one 3D design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, 3ds Max, or Blender).
Must have:
  • Proficiency in 3D design software
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office)
  • Familiarity with BIM concepts
  • Experience with Rhino
  • 2D/3D design knowledge
Good to have:
  • Unreal Engine & VR experience
  • Autodesk Revit experience

This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are June 14, 2025, through January 3, 2026).

What You Will Do

The CAD Design department is accountable for the creation and modification of all computers drafting, graphics, 3D models, and views generated (ground plans, detail drawings, schematic documentation, etc.) that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property, and on-board the Disney Cruise Line.

We are looking for an individual with an innovative mindset and a fervor for Disney quality and creativity. We are seeking someone who will be motivated to ensure that the Disney standards are reflected consistently in all design & technical materials.

  • Demonstrating knowledge of basic design, including 2D digital drawings as well as 3D modeling
  • Assisting with in-the-field information gathering via laser scanning, digital photographs, and physical measurements
  • Giving to the advancement of the Pre-visualization part of the design workflow
  • Facilitating a design from an art concept through a bid package, as part of a collective design process
  • Participating in appropriate DLE seminars and meetings
  • Coordinating conference room logistics for project/creative reviews and shows

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency with at least one 3D design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino or 3ds Max, Blender)
  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with BIM Concepts and processes
  • Solid understanding of Rhino
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and developing VR Experiences
  • Significant experience with Autodesk Revit

Materials Required

  • Portfolio (included via URL link on resume, NO attachments)

Education

  • Currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or graduate level student earning a degree in Business, Supply chain, Finance, Data Management, Fashion Merchandising, Costume Technology, Apparel Buying, Apparel Development, Sourcing, or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Be compliant with appearance guidelines
  • Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in Florida

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $18.75 per hour.
