THE ROLE:
ProbablyMonsters is seeking an exceptional Systems Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and resolving routine issues with servers, infrastructure, and workstations, ensuring that our IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will support both internal studio development and the expansion of our production-facing services, playing a key role in scaling our infrastructure and supporting services across the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage and prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records of issues in the helpdesk system.
- Work closely with senior IT staff, developers, and other departments to support infrastructure projects
- Assist in analyzing business and operational needs to determine system specifications.
- Work with senior administrators to evaluate and recommend system enhancements.
- Collaborate with end-users to ensure system configurations meet functional requirements.
- Participate in employee onboarding activities, such as automated deployment of new workstations, setting up user accounts, and helping on a new hire’s first day.
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve technical issues involving software, hardware, networking, and everything in between.
- Assist in system testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Support regular maintenance activities, including limited after-hours work.
- Work on projects and tasks from the IT Department’s backlog.
- Contribute to and maintain IT and company documentation, such as Knowledge Base Articles, Confluence pages, and SharePoint sites.
- Occasionally assemble, relocate, or remove hardware (such as racks of equipment), which may involve physical labor.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Active Directory, group policies, and file sharing, on premises and in the cloud.
- Communicate Help Desk Ticket status to requestors and stakeholders, including providing follow-ups and conducting further investigations as needed.
- Install, modify, or repair server and computer hardware or software, including managing user accounts.
- Monitor and maintain network and system health using appropriate tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, isolate problems, determine solutions, and deploy fixes.
- Familiarity with computer and server hardware, including the ability to plan and assemble workstations and install servers into racks with minimal guidance.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Ability to lift forty pounds.
- Excellent customer service skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to identify deficient or ineffective processes, propose solutions, and implement them.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Degree in an IT associated field of study
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Powershell
- Scripting

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $77,000 - $108,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay and internal equity.
- In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
