The Disney Live Entertainment Costume Support Intern will assist the Area Manager of Character Inventory. Responsibilities include managing costume inventory using SAP, processing orders, conducting cycle counts, preparing journal entries, and reviewing data for discrepancies. The intern will also support operational garment needs, work with the Materials Handling team, and contribute to site-specific projects. The role involves forecasting material needs, space planning, and preparing documentation for international sales and shipments. This is a full-time, 6-month internship running from June 14, 2025, to January 3, 2026, located in Orlando, Florida.
Must have:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of accounting and purchasing
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented
  • SAP transaction experience
  • Data analysis and reconciliation skills
Good to have:
  • Theater or performing arts background
  • Experience with Smartsheet

Our Costume Support team supports costume inventory management and handles the life cycle of fabrics for The Walt Disney Company Worldwide. If selected as a Customer Support intern, you will report to the Area Manager of Character Inventory.

This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are June 14, 2025, through January 3, 2026).

What You Will Do

Our Team is integral in providing the best possible customer service to our sites and cast as we fulfill their costume needs. On any given day, the intern could assist with Corporate Character Costume orders, work with our Materials Handling team, support Operational garment needs, or focus on a site-specific project.

  • Perform SAP transactions such as organizing cycle counts, order processing, and costing that ensure accurate Costume inventory
  • Prepare journal entries and run month-end processing requirements
  • Review, analyze, and quality check data, identifying and elevating discrepancies for resolution and partnering with internal Costume team members to reconcile payment or quantities discrepancies with accounts payable
  • Prepare documentation for international sales and shipments
  • Forecasting material purchasing needs and space planning efforts

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Smartsheet
  • Knowledge of accounting and purchasing practices such as Accounts Payable
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Theater or performing background, ideal

Education

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student earning a degree in Business, Supply chain, Finance, Data Management, Fashion Merchandising, Costume Technology, Apparel Buying, Apparel Development, Sourcing, or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Be compliant with appearance guidelines
  • Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in Florida

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $ 18.75 per hour.
