Job Description

Google's Emerging Market Lead, Devices and Services is responsible for developing and executing business strategies for the Pixel business in emerging markets. This includes identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building relationships with C-level executives, working with product and engineering teams to develop new solutions, and driving leasing and offers. The role requires 15+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking within relevant industries like Consumer Electronics, Telecom, or E-commerce. Responsibilities involve developing enterprise strategies, collaborating with global teams, building key account relationships, and innovating new business models. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the emerging market landscape, and a proven track record of success in driving business growth.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience in working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience in managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • 3 years of experience in managing people or teams.
  • Experience in escalating and presenting issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
  • Ability to adapt technical and product concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, dedicated execution, and relationships drive success.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Devices and Services Business team focuses on Google-branded hardware such as Pixel, Nest and others and subscription services such as Google One. Our team is the business arm for Devices and Services, responsible for delivering the Profit and Loss results and for leading partnerships with our carriers, retailers, distributors, and enterprise verticals, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop enterprise strategy for Pixel business. Work with global teams in developing specific capabilities and technical solutions.
  • Identify and qualify new enterprise-level business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develop and execute business plans for key accounts. Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Work with the product and engineering team to develop new solutions for markets/industries. Drive leasing and offers with the cross-functional team.
  • Innovate new business models and work with cross-functional teams in sustainable and profitable businesses for the future.
