Job Summary:

About the Role & Program

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) brings the magic of Disney’s beloved stories, franchises, and characters to families and fans worldwide. From toys to apparel, books to games, our global product organization profoundly impacts The Walt Disney Company and the international markets in which we operate. With a portfolio of renowned franchises including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, 20th Century Fox, National Geographic, and Star Wars, we are a worldwide industry and category leader delivering innovative products that entertain and inspire!

This exciting internship, supporting the Home and Adult Accessory categories of DCP is a full-time, six-month commitment from January 2025 to June 2025.

What You Will Do

As an intern, you will assist categories or entire teams with the development of new co-brands / collaborations that involve the highest quality, consumer-focused, trend-right products. You will support the daily implementation strategy for co-brands and learn the start to completion of the product merchandising process & timeline. On any given day, you might:

  • Build presentation decks, briefs, and recaps
  • Coordinate samples among key partners and room set-ups for product showcases
  • Implement and assist in the onboarding of new co-brands
  • Prepare and maintain pitch decks and POV’s on the target guest
  • Assist in marketing activations and event launches for co-brands
  • Help with coordination of other merchandising team projects as needed
  • Ensure data integrity through accurate system input & updates

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in product merchandising and a desire for retail excellence & data integrity
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication and ability to establish relationships with key partners across functions & departments
  • Awareness of social trends; pulse on consumer, lifestyle, and product
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-starter, with strong organizational and time management skills, leading multiple priorities and meeting established timelines
  • A positive demeanor, flexible & adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  •  A willingness to learn new skills and processes, be responsive to feedback, and pivot based on changing organizational priorities

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Currently enrolled junior, senior, or graduated within the past six months majoring in retail & fashion, marketing, business management, entrepreneurship, or a related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program

Additional Information

  • Must be in compliance with appearance guidelines while at work
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025
  • Full availability is required to work full-time hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship, including possible evenings and weekends if necessary
  • Being able to provide one's own housing and reliable transportation to/from work is required
  • Limited housing opportunities may be available for Florida-based Disney Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information
