Job Description

The PLUMMY team is seeking a skilled Lead Data Analyst to join their growing team. The role involves taking ownership of the product data vision, analyzing large and complex datasets, and making a significant impact on their mobile F2P project, Star Merge. Key responsibilities include defining and executing the data analytics strategy, leading the analysis of player behavior, monetization, retention, and game economy optimization, designing and running A/B tests, managing and mentoring the analytics team, and acting as a liaison between data analytics and other departments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in analytics or data science, with leadership experience in the mobile gaming industry, strong expertise in F2P game KPIs, and practical experience with BI analytical tools.
Must have:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of product data analytics across the project
  • Define and execute the data analytics strategy, ensuring it aligns with our product vision and business goals
  • Lead the analysis of large datasets to identify trends and insights into player behavior
  • Deliver actionable insights on player behavior, monetization and live ops performance, retention, and game economy optimization
  • Design and run complex A/B tests to maximize KPIs
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the analytics team while staying hands-on
  • Act as a key liaison between data analytics and other departments to align goals and strategies
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics to bring innovative solutions to the team

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in analytics or data science roles, with experience leading analytics as a Lead/Head in the mobile gaming industry
  • Strong expertise in F2P game KPIs, monetization models, retention analysis, and game economy design
  • Practical experience with BI analytical tools (Looker, Google BigQuery)
  • Understanding of key product and marketing metrics (e.g., ROI, LTV, ARPU, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with one programming language (Python, R, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of probability theory and applied statistics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive, business-oriented approach
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, analysts, and marketing to deliver an unambiguous business impact
  • Fluent English - confident in written and verbal communication, able to present insights and collaborate across teams effectively
  • Experience mentoring or leading other analysts.
  • Strong passion for gaming!
