Job Description

The Moulder Operator (Machine Operator) is responsible for setting up and operating complex production machinery following established procedures and guidelines to ensure the final product meets customer expectations. Key duties include securing and maintaining materials, setting up the work area, operating machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring for quality, stacking finished products, and potentially operating hand tools. The role also emphasizes maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment, completing pre-shift equipment inspections, and performing preventive maintenance as needed. The operator will maintain production records, check materials and finished products for compliance with standards, and adhere to safety and quality procedures. Participation in safety and continuous improvement programs is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.
Must have:
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with heavy manufacturing/assembly equipment
  • Working knowledge of mathematical functions
  • Basic understanding of computer equipment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Summary

Moulder Operator (Machine Operator) is responsible for the set up and operation of complicated production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Ensures final product meets customer expectations.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examples CNC Router, Moulder, Planer Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation according to production sheets.
  • Completes work area set up.
  • Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
  • Continually watches the machine to ensure quality.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components finished product.
  • May operate hand tools to complete the production process.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • May perform preventive maintenance as specified.
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Hourly Pay Range:  $24 + per hour dependent on experience*

                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living 

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.  A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with heavy manufacturing and/or assembly equipment
  • Working knowledge of mathematical functions.
  • Basic understanding on computer equipment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
