Job Description

As a Network Engineering Manager at Paytm, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. This includes routers, firewalls, switches, servers, and VPNs. You will handle installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, backups, and RMA device replacements. Responsibilities encompass network gear configuration, troubleshooting network issues (using CLI and GUI), managing security policies on firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto), and participating in critical incident resolution. Experience with technologies like SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and tools like Wireshark and Nmap is crucial. You'll provide day-to-day support for level 2 & 3 engineers, handle breakfix calls, and participate in disaster recovery drills.

Must have:

Experience managing network devices (routers, firewalls, switches)
Network configuration & troubleshooting (VLANs, NAT, VPNs)
Security policy implementation (firewalls, URL filtering)
Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF
Incident management and troubleshooting

Good to have:

Experience with Aruba Wireless, CPPM, F5
Familiarity with Wireshark, Nmap, GNS3, Github

Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

Requirements:

1. Experience in managing Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Servers, VPNs(Remote and S2S VPN)

and VLAN.

2. Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, Up-gradation, Backups, RMA Device Replacement.

3. Network Gear (Switch, Firewall, Aruba Wireless, CPPM, F5, etc) configuration and Up-

gradation

4. NAT, ACL, VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, Port-channel configuration, concepts and

troubleshooting

5. Site to Site, SSL, and IPSec VPN configuration and management on Firewalls ( Fortinet,

PaloAlto)

6. QOS, PBR, SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF concepts and configurations

7. NMS, Syslog, SNMP configuration and management

8. Implementing Day to day operational changes on Network and Secuity Devices

9. Implementation of standard firewall changes related to URL filtering & application filtering,

routing, NAT,

etc to allow or deny business-critical traffic.

10 Troubleshooting skills: CLI and GUI

11. Day-to-day support for level 2 & 3 including assisting peers with issues and escalation.

12. To handle breakfix calls and Incidents.

13. Interested in participating all the Critical incident calls to troubleshoot and resolve service-

impacting issues.

14. Participation in urgent and critical incidents where perimeter security is involved

15. Participation in periodic business application DR drills comprising changes to the Load

balancer(F5) and firewall configuration for DC/ DR Failover

16. Administration, Incident Management, troubleshooting, and Monitoring of Network Devices

and Applications.

17. Configuring VPN and applying security policy on Fortigate/Palo Alto firewalls

18. Understanding of Tools: Wireshark, Nmap, GNS3, Github

19. client communication, support and maintenance of an existing system

20. Diagnosis and resolution of critical production issues

21. Experience working in a Remote Data Center for dealing first-hand technical issues
