Principal Product Manager - Hotels.com
Expedia Group is seeking a Principal Product Manager to envision and lead product opportunities tailored to the Hotels.com brand and customer segment. As part of the Traveler Products team, this product leader will be an expert on Hotels.com, responsible for new product vision work for the end-to-end experience, lead high priority opportunities, and influence & orchestrate complex initiatives with multiple product and technical teams. They will do this while using and contributing to the EG travel platform, with an emphasis on enabling more Hotesl.com travelers to have unforgettable trips that inspire repeat.
What You Will Do
Develop Product Vision: Lead a team of cross-functional contributors to define and continuously refine the long-term product vision; addressing customer feedback and competitors. Create business cases and product strategy artifacts for top traveller needs that are unique or specialized to Hotels.com
Evangelize Vision and Impact: Continuously communicate the strategic vision for this product line and the value created for Hotels.com customers and Expedia Group. Lead executive level presentations while driving a customer & product-led approach. Enable high-quality, enterprise-level decisions by sharing knowledge and serving as a sought-after senior consultant.
Drive customer-centricity: Represent the voice of the customer and champion to internal teams and partners. Identify organizational, technical, product, design, and data gaps to unlock step change-improvements.
Orchestrate cross-team alignment & delivery: tackle broad traveller needs and themes that cut across multiple product & tech teams, with an emphasis on end-to-end experiences and outcomes. Establish a data-driven framework for evaluating and prioritizing opportunities, partner with UX design to develop compelling experiences, and secure alignment across all required teams and dependencies.
Optimize Performance: Define success metrics for how well we serve Hotels.com customers, and the financial returns for shareholders. Partner with business, strategy, and analytics teams on frameworks for measuring performance. Continuously improve outcomes for travelers and partners.
Who you are:
10+ years of experience in a product role building and scaling products.
Experience driving a horizontal team with a complex set of vertical stakeholders and products.
Strong track record of leading with influence and convincing teams to follow a vision and strategy.
An effective communicator, you simplify and bring clarity to complex situations allowing individuals at all levels to rally behind you.
A master of dealing with technical and organizational complexity and ambiguity
A driving force in integrating AI/ML and personalized experiences for travelers, continuously enriching the organization's models, and ensuring ethical and transparent data practices.
Able to guide innovation that shapes the future of the company and aligns with company goals, organization strategy, and business model.
With outstanding analytical and decision-making skills, you structure complex and ambiguous situations using quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources, committing to action plans after weighing alternative solutions.
Maintain high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishments, pursuing daring goals and deriving satisfaction from continuous improvement.
