Job Description
World Relief is seeking a Resettlement Associate to assist R&P Caseworkers and the Donation Coordinator with initial resettlement responsibilities. This role involves completing pre-arrival preparations, purchasing housing essentials and furniture, coordinating apartment set-ups, providing transportation to appointments, and delivering needed items to families. The Resettlement Associate will also communicate with families, create case files, assist with in-kind donations, and attend meetings as instructed.
Must have:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Ability to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Must have a valid California driver’s license
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone with partners and participants
- Ability to work as part of a team and support Resettlement Specialists
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to utilize digital communication tools, such as Zoom, TEAMS, and other platforms

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
World Relief seeks a Resettlement Associate to assist R&P Caseworkers and the Donation Coordinator with initial resettlement responsibilities including assisting families with enrollments and coordinating apartment set-ups.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completing pre-arrival preparations, purchasing housing essentials, furniture and basic food supplies, order groceries, setting up utilities, etc. in accordance with R&P Cooperative Agreement and in collaboration with caseworkers and the Donation Coordinator
- Provide transportation to Social Security, Community Services Agency, Public Health Department, employment service providers and any other required or beneficial public services
- Assist in scheduling appointments
- Delivering needed items to the families
- Communicate with families regarding appointments
- Create case files prior to case arrival
- Assist with the solicitation and inventory of all in-kind donations
- Work alongside Donation Coordinator to organize apartment set-ups in accordance to the Cooperative Agreement
- Coordinating furniture and donation pickups
- Attend meetings as instructed by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to work as part of a team and support Resettlement Specialists
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to utilize digital communication tools, such as Zoom, TEAMS, and other platforms
