Position Summary

Essential Job Functions:

• Creating and managing docker and Kubernetes containers.
• Administering Kubernetes clusters including production requiring 99% uptime in both private data centers and AWS.
• Design and maintain CI/CD automation using Gitlab and GitHub CI.
• Building data and orchestration platforms that span multiple services/products.
• Champion DevOps best practices, including improving availability, scalability and ensure successful execution of product roadmap that aligns with our platform.
• Implement a robust logging/monitoring/alerting solution using industry best practices.
• Produce documentation and mentor others.
• Establish and maintain customer confidence by building out and maintaining quality system solutions within project timelines and budgetary limits.
• Work with the development teams on deploying, managing, and supporting lottery applications.
• Support production systems and platforms along with other teams including being on-call to support production issues.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.

Required Experience:

• 3 years working in a DevOps role.
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters, EKS-A experience is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and automation using GitLab and GitHub.
• Source Control Administration (Gitlab or GitHub).
• Ansible playbooks administration.
• Experience using MS SQL Server, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL.
• Apache and nginx Administration.
• Memcached, Redis or similar Administration.
• Docker, VMWare and or other Virtualization Software Administration/Support.
• AWS or internal Cloud Administration/Support/Setup/Billing.
• 10 Years of overall development, operational and/or IT experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Some Client / Server programming experience expected.
• Source Control/Configuration Management required.
• Unix/Windows server administration experience preferred.
• High availability support experience preferred.
• Scripting experience in UNIX/Windows experience preferred.
• AWS or VMware management with ansible preferred.
• Database programming and Administration experience preferred.
• Experience with the following is a plus: Java, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Groovy.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Years of experience 4 to 8 years.
