We’re hiring a Digital Accessibility Engineer to support the Engineering team at a major healthcare firm. This is a fully remote, 6+ month contract opportunity based in the U.S. (EST hours).
In this role, you’ll help ensure the accessibility of digital experiences across native mobile and web platforms. While this is not a hands-on development role, a strong understanding of front-end technologies is essential. You’ll independently execute test cases, identify issues, and report defects—playing a key role in improving usability for all users.
Execute accessibility test cases independently and proactively
Conduct manual accessibility testing across digital platforms
Identify and report accessibility defects clearly and accurately
Collaborate with the team to ensure web and mobile experiences meet accessibility standards
Utilize your technical knowledge of front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to evaluate accessibility issues
2+ years of experience conducting manual accessibility testing
2–4 years of front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience using screen readers across Windows, iOS, and Android platforms
Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accessibility standards
