This Account Executive role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on driving growth for mid-market businesses in Germany. Responsibilities include exceeding sales quotas, managing a portfolio of clients, developing and implementing multi-quarter growth plans, and consulting with clients on their digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital advertising, proven consultative sales experience, fluency in English and German, and a track record of success in exceeding targets. The role involves proactive customer engagement, building strong executive-level relationships, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while optimizing their marketing strategies using Google's products. The role requires 20% travel.
Must have:
  • 5 years advertising/sales experience or 3 years with advanced degree
  • Fluent English & German
  • Exceed sales quotas & drive growth
  • Consultative sales & client relationship management
  • Digital advertising campaign management
  • Strong analytical & communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with performance marketing
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy & tactics
  • Experience in German advertising/media sales
  • Ability to build compelling narratives

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Germany, and exceed quotas and drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experience and achieve customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Establish credibility with executives and serve as a trusted partner to optimize and expand business.
