Job Description

The Account Manager will be the face of UFP to customers in the territory, building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. Responsibilities include building and nurturing relationships with current customers to ensure satisfaction and retention, driving sales growth by promoting the product line, problem-solving customer pain points and delivering creative solutions, owning the customer experience through troubleshooting and communication, managing territory performance, and keeping things on track with inventory and sales reports. The role involves working in a fast-paced, solution-oriented sales environment.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in manufactured housing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Good to have:
  • Manufacturing or engineered components background preferred.
  • Familiarity with UFP’s culture and product lines is a bonus.

What You'll Do

As an Account Manager, you’ll be the face of UFP to customers in your territory—building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Build & Nurture Relationships: Maintain strong, long-term connections with our current customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Drive Sales Growth: Promote our diverse product line to generate new business with both existing and prospective customers.

  • Problem Solve with Purpose: Understand customer pain points and deliver creative, cost-saving solutions through consultative selling.

  • Own the Customer Experience: Troubleshoot issues, ensure timely communication, and follow through on commitments.

  • Manage Territory Performance: Monitor trends, track market activity, and help shape our local sales strategy.

  • Keep Things on Track: Contribute to inventory counts, manage accounts receivable, and prepare sales reports.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred—or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in manufactured housing components.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.

  • Manufacturing or engineered components background preferred.

  • Familiarity with UFP’s culture and product lines is a bonus.
