Job Description

As a Business Development Manager at Enphase Energy, you'll expand the company's network within the Netherlands' energy markets, focusing on retail energy providers, DSOs, TSOs, and aggregators. Responsibilities include market trend analysis (especially residential flexibility markets), relationship management with energy companies, translating market insights into internal requirements, attracting new partners, generating revenue from battery, inverter, and EV charger sales, regulatory monitoring, and motivating customers and partners. The role demands strong analytical, strategic, and networking skills, alongside a results-oriented approach and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

About the role
As a Business Development Manager at Enphase Energy, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding a robust network of key stakeholders within the energy markets, including retail energy providers, distribution system operators, transmission system operators, and aggregators.

What you will do
•    Market Development: Track energy market trends, particularly within the residential flexibility market.
•    Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with energy companies and proactively manage these partnerships.
•    Internal Alignment: Translate market insights and customer needs into clear requirements for internal teams, including product managers.
•    Network Expansion: Identify and attract new partners in the energy market.
   Create Revenue Opportunities: Transform relationships into tangible revenue results, such as sales of home batteries, solar inverters, and EV chargers.
•    Regulatory Monitoring: Closely monitor the regulations and policies of energy markets and align with the Enphase European policy team.
   Activate and Motivate: Drive customers and partners to action by inspiring and motivating them.
 
What you bring
•    Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in business development or a similar role within the energy market. Experience in energy trading is a plus.
   Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in energy, engineering, or business administration is preferred.
•    Strong Knowledge in the Energy Market: In-depth understanding of the flexibility market and a keen eye for emerging developments.
•    Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate market trends into actionable opportunities within the organization.
•    Networker at Heart: Skilled at building and maintaining valuable, long-term relationships.
•    Results-oriented: Capable of converting contacts into concrete sales and revenue.
•    Social and Assertive: Possess strong interpersonal skills, able to confidently express opinions and make decisions.
•    Drive to Learn: Curiosity and a passion for continuous development within the energy market and your role.
•    Affinity with Sustainable Energy Solutions: Interest in and understanding of home batteries, solar inverters, and EV chargers.
•    Balance of Collaboration and Independence: Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with strong communication skills.
•    Decisive and Results-Driven: Demonstrates the ability to take a stand and confront challenges head-on
