The Chinese Community Coordinator at EA will be the key player in engaging with the Chinese-speaking gaming community. Responsibilities include acting as a public face for EA online, interacting daily with gamers, providing support and engaging players on assigned boards. The role requires creating conversation topics, moderating discussions, and providing feedback on in-game and technical issues to internal partners. The coordinator will participate in team meetings, offer insights on contact drivers and process enhancements, and contribute content ideas. This role necessitates excellent customer service, strong communication (written and verbal), and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting gameplay, technical and account issues across various platforms is essential, as is the ability to de-escalate tense situations. Experience with community platforms and content creation is a plus.

The Community Coordinator, working under Community Team Manager, will be the key to realizing our goal of offering support and engagement through community platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the nuances that come with managing communities and engaging players, as well as build on previous experience to help structure and run the Community Support team within Fan Care. Given the nature of the Community team, the Community Coordinator will be part of a team of highly motivated, multi-lingual support staff who are at the forefront of our Fan Care Community program. We are looking for someone who is data-driven, proactive, and passionate.

What a Community Coordinator does at EA

  • Be a public ‘face’ for EA’s Community team online gaming communities, interacting with gamers daily and ensuring every experience with EA across their assigned boards is positive, and reflect EA's brand and mission.

  • Work within online gaming communities by interacting with our players, providing support, engagement, creating conversation topics, and moderation as well as feedback to internal partners regarding in game and technical issues, including community sentiment.

  • Participate in regular update meetings with the team, providing insight on top contact drivers, process enhancements and content ideas.

  • Be part of a team focused on shaping an engaged and balanced community and helping gamers, leading the frontlines in supporting our customers proactively and in real-time.

  • Align with our internal partners, studios, and development teams to provide the world’s best support for the world’s best games.

  • The next great EA Community Coordinator needs:

  • Fluency in English - verbal and written.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • 2+ Years of game support, including gameplay, technical and account troubleshooting for various platforms/devices.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, organizational abilities, creative ideas and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver on deadlines.

  • Ability to adhere to appropriate matrices, including SLAs and resolution percentages.

  • Soft skills for de-escalating tense situations.

  • Experience with Community or Social platforms is a plus.

  • Expertise in writing, editing and public content creation is a plus.

  • Fluent (written and verbal) in Simplified Chinese.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)

    • $48,600 - $63,200 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
