Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Color Lab Technician to join our Santa Fe Springs Color Lab Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing color requests, maintaining lab equipment, adhering to safety policies, communicating project status, managing workspace, and handling logistical tasks. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in color matching/mixing, ideally with stucco/grouts, proficiency in stucco application, color perception, formula creation, basic computer skills, strong math knowledge, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
Must have:
  • Process color requests efficiently and accurately to meet production demands.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including the wastewater drainage system, dust collector, and SBMF oven.
  • Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors regarding project status, challenges, and results.
  • Manage workspace organization effectively while handling UPS deliveries and other logistical tasks.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in addressing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay Rate $21.00 hr.

We are seeking a skilled Color Lab Technician to join our Santa Fe Springs Color Lab Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Process color requests efficiently and accurately to meet production demands.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including the wastewater drainage system, dust collector, and SBMF oven, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with supervisors regarding project status, challenges, and results.
  • Manage workspace organization effectively while handling UPS deliveries and other logistical tasks.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in addressing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred Skills

  • Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years directly related experience color matching/mixing, ideally with samples and/or stucco and/or grouts materials.
  • Ideal candidate would be experienced in all techniques of stucco application. Must have full perception of the color spectrum, and the ability to create formulas in a timely manner using available materials.
  • Requires basic computer proficiency for purposes of accessing formula database.
  • Must have good Math knowledge, including the use of fractions and decimal conversions.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be multi-task oriented.
