As a Community Ambassador for the greater China market, you work as a part-time freelancer to support the activation, moderation, and development of the community and audience for a brand. You contribute to the growth and engagement of a healthy, inclusive community by assisting with the execution of the go-to-market strategy and community plan, as well as supporting the management of relevant social media accounts and channels.
You report to the Community Programs Specialist of the brand and work closely with them in day-to-day operations. You are responsible for the brand media channels assigned to you (BiliBili, Zhihu, WeChat, QQ groups, Paradox Forum, Steam, or others). You are paid as a freelance worker, on the number of effective work hours reported, normally not exceeding 20 hours per week, at an hourly rate defined in your contract.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage and moderate the brand social media accounts assigned to you.
● Act as the bridge between your assigned brand and Chinese players.
● Collect feedback from and engage with Chinese players.
● Analyze social media metrics to assess engagement and growth
● Prepare the text copies to be shared on social media platforms and beyond.
● Localize developer diaries and videos.
● Prepare monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
● Native-level fluency in Mandarin and strong proficiency in English.
● Deep understanding of Chinese culture, internet trends, and social media etiquette.
● Strong interpersonal skills and composure.
● Ability to work both independently or in a team, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
● Knowledge of managing Chinese social media platforms and how to operate them independently.
● Strong interest and familiarity with Grand Strategy Games.
Desirable skills
● Experience in community-focused projects, like moderating, administrating or leading thriving fan communities and initiatives.
● Proven experience in managing social media accounts, as well as online communities on, Baidu Tieba, QQ groups and other platforms (content production, posting, moderation, etc.).
● Interest in History
● Experience with translating documents into Chinese text.
● Good knowledge of Photoshop and other video editing tools.
